We have a great church at Providence, friendly and inviting people and a place for
you to belong. But we see our community as much bigger than our church.

We love our city and believe it’s a great place to live! All of us want healthy
environments to raise our kids, have purpose and grow hopes and dreams for a bright
future. As Interim Pastor, I get to be part of helping to work for a better city and the
common good.

I look forward to serving here (it’s my second time around!) getting reacquainted
with everyone , meeting new people and enjoying what God has in store for us in this new season.

Veronica Dam, Office Administrator | Contact

Veronica Dam is the voice you hear when you call in and the hub of the Providence wheel as the office administrator and bookkeeper.

Her prior career included 21 years of home educating her 5 children, the most rewarding of jobs.

She is married to Clarence and she loves to read, sing, camp, play games, garden and play with her grandchildren.

If you have any questions about Providence, Veronica’s desk is a good place to start.

Beverly Roorda, Director of Care | Contact

As Director of Care, Beverly's spiritual gifts of mercy and discernment serve and support Providence Church and the Community.

The heart of her role is facilitating care and making sure that people know they are valued and loved by the Lord.

She and her husband Darren enjoy cycling together, sipping coffee together, enjoying their adult children and playing with their grandchildren.

Hemmo Oosterveen, Director of Facilities | Contact

Hemmo Oosterveen is the Director of Facilities.

With the support of volunteers like himself, Hemmo keeps our facilities and grounds functional, fresh and inviting to all. It’s also important to him that parents know their children are in safe spaces.

When Hemmo not volunteering, he is employed in the greenhouse industry. Traveling with his wife Theresa is a highlight, only to be outdone by spending time with their 3 adult children.

Kevin Stienstra, Director of Finance | Contact

Kevin Stienstra volunteers his time to act as the Director of Finance at Providence.

For his day job, he is a tax accountant at Grant Thornton LLP.

He is married to Nicole, and has 4 daughters, Jaylen, Mya, Lily and Ella. He enjoys spending time with his family, traveling, playing sports, and coaching his children at soccer.

Kevin's goal as Director of Finance is to manage the church’s finances so that the churches ministries and mission in the community can be blessed to the full extent possible.

Jay Feenstra, Director of Digital Technology | Contact

Jay Feenstra volunteers as the Director of Digital Technology leading a team of volunteers and supporting Providence sound, visuals and livestream.

Jay also Volunteers on a worship team, leading with guitar and vocals.

When not volunteering, Jay is a Dispatcher and Logistics Coordinator for a steel company in Stoney Creek.

Jay and his wife Erica live in Beamsville with their 3 children Chloe, Max and Levi.
